Following requests from users and a senior member of the Tidy Britain Group it was suggested we write a system for abandoned vehicles, this we did and the result is AVMaster.

AVMaster through the use of an in-built wizard guides the user through the creation of an Abandoned Vehicle Case. During the initial phase the database is cross-checked by registration number and street name such that if an existing record is found the user may elect to abandon the new record and automatically jump to the selected record. System defaults allow the case to be created with an absolute minimum of information. Once the new case has been raised the system will automatically assign the case to an officer, enter the visit target date and print a visit sheet.

Browse screens allow you to track and view cases by Status (open, late, or closed) for all cases or for a specified Officer. Further options allow you to find records by Street, Vehicle Registration Number, User Reference, System Reference or Registered Keepers Name. Each listed case displays not only the current vehicle status but extra information of each case such as vehicle information, informant information, Street Name - local landmark/junction details etc..... This browse screen allows you to visually monitor cases and track their current stage (automatically calculated by the system).

Against each record the current status and pertinent information concerning the case is automatically displayed at the top of the page. All important data is stored in appropriate data fields for use in reports and letters from Vehicle Registration to Visit Information and costs. AVMaster also automatically schedules second visits based on associated data such as notice expiry date. Any number of individual case notes and up to 99 digital images may be stored against each case. Various actions taken and letters printed are automatically logged for future reference.

Images - Are IMPORTANT - if you hold a minimum of 2 images per case and have on file 10,000 cases the difference between 5mgb image files x20,000 and 85k files x20,000 is Enormous! AVMaster automatically resizes all images! And we go even further! We thumbnail your main case image and use that in reports so report sizes are tiny! couple that with the best PDF writer on the planet and reporting via email is the BEST!

The in-built letter developer/manager used for mail-merged letters/forms is a very powerful system, it allows for complexity not possible in word processors like MS Word. Fields from multiple files may be simply dragged and dropped into position or inserted into formatted text. Conditional fields can be set-up, numeric and date fields can be formatted in an almost unlimited way... over 90 inbuilt functions are available from adding any number of days to a date field to displaying the year of a date - Its even possible to add/print bar codes!
Ready-to-run Reports list and summarize details including :- Full Case Print-outs, Visit Schedules, Removal Schedules, Vehicle Removal Form, Cost Summaries, Officer Summaries, 3d Bar Charts, Case Status Listings etc.....

Optionally e-mail Contractor Removal Form at the click of a button, optionally e-mail Open Case Listing...

Facilities have been included to Print VQ4 or optionally create VQ4 electronic transfer files and import returned VQ7 files. Once the VQ7 file has been returned AVMaster can import the data automatically entering Keeper Details. Please Note : it is our understanding there will be an online link with DVLA available to Local Authorities to interrogate the DVLA database in real time by Sept 2002.

ODBC Driver available allowing you to write your own reports in-house using any odbc compliant program such as Excel, Crystal Reports or Access.

Automatic Daily backup into zip file along with optional automated backup taken each time a user exits AVMaster.

Finally we even include a sub-system to export all case details with a built in option to select exactly which fields you wish to export.
