Brochure

April 2006 - In line with Environment Agency changes, new stats to log single black bags added and returns updated to reflect this and other changes.

April 2005 - Represents the start of the second year when all authorities are now expected to complete FULL returns.  It also marks the point where authorities will be audited for the accuracy of their procedures and data!

April 2004 - Version 1.1b of our new FlyCaptureIT program released

This system has been specifically designed to collate all fly-tipping cases and produce the monthly statutory returns required by the Environment Agencies national fly-tipping database (flycapture).  These returns require considerable time and effort on your part to produce.  We are working with the assistance of the Environment Agency on this project, the XML return produced by FlyCaptureIT has already been cross-checked and passed by the Agency.

Flycapture : The National Fly Tipping Data Project

The Anti-Social Behaviour Act requires local authorities and the Agency to submit monthly data on the type and quantity of fly-tipping that they deal with it.

Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003

A further range of measures were brought forward through the Anti-Social Behaviour Bill 2003, due to commence from 31 March 2004. The Bill also makes provision to issue  Fixed Penalties for Fly Tipping, Graffiti and Fly Posting.

The measures will enable local authorities to stop, search and seize vehicles (in the presence of a police constable) suspected of being used for fly tipping and to investigate incidents to help them track down and prosecute those responsible for dumping the waste.
